Things My Three Year Old Said To Me This Week-Exactly what the title suggests!  An absolute audience (and adjudicator) favorite.  Written for SATB choir and piano.

Alone-An acappella arrangement of the well known song by Heart.  SSSAAA plus soloist and beat boxer.

Wonderful World-An acappella arrangement of the well known song by Louie Armstrong. SSSAAA plus soloist.

1564-A full, creative acappella arrangement of several pop songs that follow the chord progression "1 5 6 4", including: Don't Stop Believing, No One, With or Without You and others.  SSSAAA plus soloists and beat boxer.

Bogurodzica-Commissioned by the Oregon Children's Youth Chorale, Sandra Miller, director. 

Requiem for Two Travelers-Commissioned for the 2004 Portland Metro Honor Choir, this hauntingly beautiful piece combines the traditional Latin text with the English writing on two epitaphs.  For SATB choir, piano and optional cello.

Holiday Party-A fun, quirky yet accessible piece for SATB choir, piano and optional flute.

The Phantom-A haunting work portraying the arrival of the ghost of Christmas yet to come.  For SATB choir, piano, flute, clarinet, oboe, violin, cello and bass drum.

Bah Humbug-A jazzy homage to Scrooge and his old buddy, Marlow.  ALWAYS an audience favorite!  Perfect for elementary and/or junior high choirs.  For unison choir and piano.

Great Day-Set in traditional gospel style, this anthem is perfect for the start of a new year, or any celebration of life!  For SATB chorus and piano.

Today-A moving setting of William Stafford's poem.  For SATB choir, piano and optional cello.

I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus-A Barbershop arrangement for SSSAA.  Featured on K103FM radio!

Silent Night/Away in a Manger-A beautiful arrangement of these two classic carols that weaves them together in the final verse.  For SATB choir, piano and optional oboe.

Snow Lullaby-A simple, yet elegant lullaby for SAB choir, piano and flute.

Tenting Tonight-An SSAA arrangement (with optional guitar accompaniment) of the classic folk song.

Tyger-An accappella setting of the famous poem by William Blake.  For SATB choir, unaccompanied.

Solo Piano

Circus Peanuts- A twenty minute composition, commissioned by Ballet Etudes for their annual spring recital.  There is an abridged version available for concert performance (approx. 10 minutes long)

Prelude in Thirds-A short solo piano piece written in the likes of Samuel Barber and early Aaron Copland.

Aku'u-A short composition written during my first year of college following the likes of George Winston and David Lanz.

Tending Towards Silence-Commissioned by Lakeridge High School in honor of the retirement of their band director, Rick Tippets (who just happened to also be my high school band director!) (MIDI recording.  Live recording to be available Spring 2009)

Festiva Mexicana-Commissioned by Mountain View Middle School Band, Larry Coates, director.

Tenor Time-A piece for junior high band featuring solo tenor saxophone.

Clever Wicked Witch-A musical theater piece performed by the wicked witch in "The Wizard of Oz" (the original musical doesn't have the wicked witch sing and I felt the witch we cast was just too talented to not get a song!)

Adios-A light-hearted, fun song for mezzo soprano based on the poem by Naomi Shihab-Nye.
