I was VERY excited when invited to write a song for your 8th grade Promotion.  I tried REALLY hard not to make it cheesy, but what can I say...it's a promotion song and we want to make your parents cry! 

First of all, I hope you like the song.  I tried to capture at least some of the feelings and experiences you've had in your 1-9 years at Riverdale.  Secondly, please take the time to listen to the song, print out the sheet music and begin learning it.  Some of the rhythms are tricky to read, but my hope is that by hearing another choir sing it you will be able to learn them without much trouble.  Please note:  after recording my Sunset choir singing the song I changed a few of the lyrics (thanks for the feedback Elise!)-so make sure you use both the mp3 recording AND the sheet music.
